I don't trust these guys with a fly

I went here bc I was hearing my front left brake intermittently squeak. The guy at the counter probably thought that I didn't know anything about cars. He kept insisting since it's on just the one side that it was squeaking that it was the shocks. I let them do an inspection for $19.99 and waited 2 hours in their shop.
He came back and told me that I needed my brakes replaced. I just got the rear brakes replaced and so I explained to him that I just needed the front replaced. He still quoted me a price for all four. They were also going to charge me $50 per brake pad (the rotors were perfectly fine) and then $150 for the labor and another $50 to flush the brake fluid (which I did myself) and another $10 for the brake fluid. Then he insisted that my "transmission mount" was broken and needed to be replaced immediately. (Another $300.) My wiper blades which would've cost $50. Then my transmission fluid flushed. I just got a new transmission, it didn't need to be flushed. After he came down to it, the total was going to $962. I left right then and there. That was complete bogus!
I went to a different mechanic that I knew who was struggling and talked to him about it and showed him their insane quotes. He then went and got brake fluid $3. Brakes $25 each (Cleaner was $5). Wiperblades $5. Checked the engine mounts bc there are NO transmission mount. Cleaned my fuel injectors. and only charged me $100 for everything and it only took him 30 minutes to do all this.
