I purchased a vehicle from Ford of Orange with a Rockledge alarm already installed. They charged me about $700 dollars to activate it. One morning within a few weeks of my purchase I noticed my vehicle was unlocked. The next day after returning from the gym I locked the doors, showered and when I left for work the doors were again unlocked, my vehicle was ransacked and my prescription sunglasses were stolen. There happened to be a rash of vehicle break ins. We have the burglar on video opening my door and walking away with my prescription sunglasses. The doors continued to unlock for no reason. I took the vehicle back to the dealership (The dealership owner actually owns (Rockledge). They told me that Rockledge made an adjustment to the alarm and it has worked ever since. My issue is that when I tried to make a claim with Rockledge and they told me that their alarm would not cause the doors to unlock. Ford of Orange promised they would investigate and call me back. After several follow up calls, voice mails and a letter, they never called back. I was a very satisfied customer when I made my purchase but now, I would stay away from both of these companies. Passing the buck.
